Most people never think about making sure their rocker panel drain areas are free. If you own a ford f150 truck starting in 1997 to 2003 in single cab and extended and 4dr supercrew cabs (these are ones I know of in the ford line) The rocker panels have drain rubber plugs only and no other way to drain, so you literally have to take out the rubber plugs once yearly and then take off the inner door rocker covers that are plastic and spray them out and then spray WD40 in them. I know this from my 02 super crew f150. Iearn about each individual vehicles rockers. My 98 dodge ram however has small slots that water can drain out of so its important to make sure they arent clogged

I bought a blow gun from Harbor Freight that has a really long metal extension on the front of it. It works really well for cleaning out rocker panels and inside doors.

I wanted know if I use touch up paint, after sanding should I then apply a clear coat or just use the buffing compound like what used in the video. I guess I’m a little confused on the difference between clear coat and buffing compound. Like do the touch up paint, then sand and then do clear coat. After all that then I do the buffing?

What kind of paint did you use? Urethane , acrylic , or enamel ? Also I painted with enamel and the odor was so strong that I can still fill it in my nose days later. This is why I’m asking what type of paint. I’m also using a spray mask from harbor freight. Not sure if it’s poor quality. Thank you for your help in advance, 👍 yr videos

Retired cop here. Colin, you brushed up against one of the problems we are having in LE. The GWOT took so many amazing young men and women away from the hiring pool of LE, we lowered our standards. Now, it's not all, we for some great people during the GWOT but we also got some folks who were not the "best and brightest". And, with the upward pulling vacuum or retirements, some of these folks got promoted. Some all the way to Chief. And, good gawd, make a T-shirt about this video so people ask me about it!❤

When mixing the filler, can you add a small quantity of solvent thinner to Bondo Glass or Bondo body filler to smooth it out and eliminate small crater pin holes? Does it have to be only epoxy resin or can you use solvent thinner or lacker thinner?

I have one and I'm wondering what this unit can offer for break release to replace rear pads?

I know you said they don’t sell this frame machine any more but was curious who makes it? Looks really heavy duty!
